The 2007 Outreach Scholarship Conference is the eighth in a series, which was started in 1999 by The Pennsylvania State University. In 2001, The Ohio State University and the University of Wisconsin-Extension joined as partners and sponsors of the conference. The three institutions welcomed University of Georgia as the fourth sponsor in 2004.

All of the four sponsoring institutions welcome broad participation from friends and colleagues at institutions of all sizes and types across the country.
